Travel Vaccines
Please make an appointment with your doctor well in advance as some vaccinations are required to be given over a specific time frame.
In addition to vaccinations we may provide other advice specific to your destination.
For your convenience Kingsgrove Medical Centre stores most travel vaccinations, and these are to be paid for on the day of service.
Over 75 Health
This is a full comprehensive annual medical check and there is no out-of-pocket expense.
The assessment usually takes an hour and provides a detailed overall view of your general health. The check covers areas such as sight, hearing, diet, your current medications and your immunisations.
At the conclusion of the health assessment you will discuss the findings with your own Doctor.
Minor Procedures
Minor procedures, such as excisions and suturing require a longer consult. Please ensure you advise our reception staff upon making an appointment so that we can ensure adequate time is allowed with your doctor.
Womens Health and Family Planning
Skin Cancer Checks
Most skin cancer can be successfully treated if it is found early. But without treatment, skin cancer can be deadly.
All Australians are encouraged to protect their skin from the damage caused by UV rays of the sun and to get to know their skin. Check all of your skin, not just sun-exposed areas. If you notice anything unusual, including any change in shape, colour or size of a spot, or a new spot, visit your doctor as soon as possible.
It is also advisable to have annual skin checks with your doctor. You can make an appointment with a doctor at Kingsgrove Medical Centre for a full skin check. Please book a long appointment or advise the staff that this is what the appointment is for.
